Aonori

Green laver. 青海苔

"Dried seaweed flakes." Flat, leafy seaweed like nori that is cultivated in Japan.

Aonori grows on rocks in shallow bays. Although it is dried like nori, it is not made into sheets, but rather cut into small flakes.

Like nori, Aonori is rich in proteins and has a nutritious vitamin and mineral content.

Uses:
  • Sprinkling on okonomiyaki, yakisoba, takoyaki etc.
  • There are even potato chips flavored with aonori!
