Oyakodon

p>Bowl of rice covered with pieces of chicken and onion cooked in egg. Oyako means "parent and child" and this refers (ironically?) to the chicken and the egg.

Some dried seaweed decorates the top. Pickles may be served on the side. One of the popular "donburi" rice dishes.

In Japanese: 親子丼
